Indian Rocks Beach

Spring ~ 2009

We were off around noon this year.. a bit different but made for great flying. We even had a "friend" flying near us for part of our trip.

We flew to Atlanta and from there had a wonderful plane to fly on to Tampa. We even got to watch where we were flying on our personal GPS or watch our own little TV.

We enjoyed the sunset above the clouds and millions of lights below them... as we landed in Tampa.

The first night we stayed in Tampa and then we were off to Indian Rocks Beach and a 4 plex. We were top floor.... and had a great view of the Gulf.

Saturday night.. our first night there... showed us a wonderful sunset.

 

Linda cooked an unbelievable dinner of fresh, caught shrimp!! And yes... it lasted us several meals!! (Thanks Judy!)

That night... Linda found "Fruit Loops" floating in our pool!

Even the sunrise was pretty looking down over the white sands. (however we were not up for many of them!)

The blue sky, green water and white sand beaches were so beautiful. We spent most of our time just walking and enjoying them.

We had fun photographing the sponges we found...

and "cliffs" of sand left by the gulf waters.

And we are always trying to find new birds to take pictures of... or to catch them in unusual situations.

The sunsets were just spectacular as always and we did not even have to leave our condo to enjoy them.

We had to wait for a draw bridge to the mainland as a sail boat went through....

A special breakfast treat... just for me!

We watched boats of all kinds..some were fishing.. others were picking up traps they had set out... and yet others were just out for a relaxing day.

It was great fun watching the kiteboarding. They were sooo good and coming clear out of the water to do somersaults.

One poor guy lost his board .. but his buddy picked it up and brought it to him!

A last day walk on the beach... looks like Linda found a new friend!

Pictures of a final sunset over the gulf.... and then off to the airport early the next morning.

On the flight home... we could look down to all the snow that had fallen while we were enjoying the wonderful weather at Indian Rocks Beach!
